Strokes

2 types:

  1. Ischaemic
  2. Haemorrhagic
1. Ischaemic

An area deprived of blood due to an obstruction blocking the blood flow to the brain. You are at higher risk if your arteries are heavily lined with fatty deposits. It can develop or move to the brain.

2. Haemorrhagic

An area of bleeding due to weakened vessel wall ruptures in the brain. Can be caused by high blood pressure, too much salt and sugar, no exercise and becomes more likely the older you get.
